On December 19th, 2019, the FAA announced via webinar various improvements to the way it tests all applicants for an FAA airman certificate for all certificated pilots (including drone pilots).
These changes pertain to pilot identification (FTN) and to the testing process and reports (AKTR).
FTN Information Necessary for Drone Pilots
The FAA is requiring all new applicants to receive an FAA Tracking number (FTN). This can be done through the IACRA website. (This number does not replace the certification number)
Exam scheduling can be done through the FAA Exam Portal after receiving an FTN.
Applicants who have already been issued an Airman Certificate prior to January 13, 2020, already have an FTN.

AKTR Changes That Affect Drone Pilots
The Airman Knowledge Test Report changed with the January 13th, 2020, FAA update.
Drone pilots who take the Part 107 test after January 13th, 2020, will able to reprint AKTR’s from the testing vendor’s website. Pilots who have taken the test before January 13th, 2020, will have to contact the FAA Airmen Certification Office for replacement of lost AKTRs. The Airman Certification Standard (ACS) codes are replacing the learning statement codes for ACS based tests, which includes the Part 107 test.
As of December 19th, 2019, there have been no changes to the Part 107 test questions.
